(KONAMI) releases its newest product, the Secrets of Eternity Super Edition. This Super Edition will help Duelists get themselves tournament-ready at a minimal cost!
Super Editions are consistently a great value for Duelists andSecrets of Eternity Super Edition follows suit. Each box contains three booster packs of Secrets of Eternity, plus 1 of 14 Super Rare cards to power up a player’s Deck and is only $9.99 MSRP per box. With this many cards, Duelists can power up their Decks for less than it would cost to buy three individual booster packs.

Players can build up their Deck with more cards for new tournament favorites like Burning Abyss, Shaddolls, and ‘tellarknights, or uncover the secrets of the pit to reveal the mighty Infernoids, a brand new Deck theme that carries out wicked effects to banish an opponent’s cards.

Press Release: Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Heads to Guatemala City

With an extremely successful Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Guatemala City, Guatemala in 2012, Konami all but assured the attendees that the company would be back in 2015. Guatemala City will once again open its arms to Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Duelists from all corners of the Americas as they arrive for the premier-level Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series, a competitive weekend long tournament being held March 7 and 8. The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG is a card game involving strategy and skill made famous by the Yu-Gi-Oh! TV animated series.

At YCS Guatemala, Duelists young and old, novice and veterans alike, will compete for a bounty of exciting prizes. The first place winner will receive an Ultra Rare version of the latest most sought-after prize card: Ascension Sky Dragon – one of the rarest Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG cards in existence!

Hoping to win the first Central American tournament of the year, Duelists will enter the Hotel Conquistador on Saturday morning believing they have the precise combination of luck and strategy for a shot at glory and prizes. Duelists will put their practice and Deck-building skills up against some of the best players the game has to offer for the chance to advance to the Final Round on Sunday and the opportunity to Duel for the title of YCS Champion.

With the newest products, the HERO Strike Structure Deck and The Secret Forces booster released prior to the event, YCS Guatemala City will be an incubator of sorts for live game-testing as Duelists unveil brand new strategies and Decks. Duelists will need to devote extra attention to see how the inclusion of the new cards from these products impacts the YCS standings!

Pre-registration for YCS Guatemala City will run from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6 and registration will continue promptly at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7. Upon registering, Duelists will receive four Secrets of Eternity booster packs for participating in KONAMI’s YCS Guatemala City. Round One will start at 10:00 a.m. and the top ranked YCS finishers will earn invitations to participate in the 2015 World Championship Qualifier. Players will use their constructed Decks until the Top 16 are determined, then the Top 16 Duelists will draft cards from Battle Pack 3: Monster League and will use Decks built solely from this product to compete for the Championship. With the majestic snowcapped Cascade and Olympic Mountain Ranges and the Pacific Ocean as its background, the Greater Seattle-Tacoma area awaits Duelists from all corners of the Pacific Northwest and neighboring Canada as they arrive at the Yu-Gi-Oh! CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES (YCS) Tacoma event. Presented by Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. the YCS is a traveling, premier-level Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME competitive tournament, a game made famous by the Yu-Gi-Oh! TV animated series.

Duelists should contact their local OTS leading up to YCS Tacoma to see if they will be holding a VIP Qualifier tournament or check the official Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG web site for store locations.

Press Release: Road to the Pokémon World Championships Kicks Off with Regional Championships Worldwide

Trainers around the world can embark on the road to the 2015 Pokémon World Championships by participating in the upcoming Winter Regional Championships. This year’s events provide Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire video game players and Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) players a chance at part of the $2 million pool of scholarships and prizes, and a spot in the most prestigious Pokémon event of the year: the 12th annual Pokémon World Championships, held August 21–23, 2015, in Boston, MA.

“This is a great time for TCG and video game players to jump into the vibrant competitive circuit found around the world,” said J.C. Smith, director of Consumer Marketing for The Pokémon Company International. “It is rewarding to see this supportive international community continue to grow.”

Trainers are encouraged to stay connected and hone their video game and TCG skills online by playing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems and by playing the Pokémon TCG Online on their computer or iPad.

Qualifying events will be held in more than 40 countries this year. In the US, the Winter Regional Championships are coming to the following locations:

Press Release: Jonathan Castillo Gomez Outduels Hundreds of Duelists at Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Charleston for the Title of Champion

Duelists from all over the Eastern Seaboard and the Southeastern United States descended upon Charleston, South Carolina for this past weekend’s Yu-Gi-Oh! CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES (YCS) event. Duelists of every age participated in the premier-level Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME event, presented by Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., ready to show off their impressive Dueling skills for the chance to be crowned the YCS Champion. But, it was Jonathan Castillo Gomez from Santa Ana, CA who outpaced the field to claim the coveted title of YCS Champion and Vincent Riccardi from Sterling, VA who took home the Dragon Duel title.

YCS Charleston hosted enthusiastic Yu-Gi-Oh! players from across the country wanting to try the latest strategies and card combos against their peers. Round after round, with refined skills and a bit of luck, elite players emerged above the competition in a weekend full of exhilarating Dueling.

Jonathan Castillo Gomez confidently battled his way into Sunday’s Top 16 Draft with his first-rate Burning Abyss Deck. Then, after three rounds of Single Elimination with their newly drafted Decks from Battle Pack 3: Monster League, it came down to an exciting playoff with Patrick Hoban from Covington, GA. In the end, the combination of precise play and smart risk-taking helped Gomez earn the title of YCS Charleston Champion.

In addition to the title of YCS Champion, Gomez returned home with a stellar set of prizes that included an Ultra Rare YCS Ascension Sky Dragon Prize Card, an exclusive YCS Top Cut Game Mat, an invitation to the 2015 World Championship Qualifier tournament and much more!

In the Dragon Duel, an event for Duelists born in 2002 or later, Riccardi used his Sealed Deck then switched to his Qliphort Deck in the final matchup to beat Nathanael Ross, from Hickory, NC, in a head-to-head playoff. Riccardi picked up a mass of great prizes, including an invitation to the 2015 World Championship Dragon Duel Qualifier tournament.
