New Games From Japanime

Japanime Games has a trio of new games from Japan coming to their warehouse this summer.  Now is your chance to pre-order them.

Alicematic Heroes is a tactical board game for 3-5 players.  Try to take over the board by conquering different kingdoms that give you different bonuses.  A modular board lets you play different ways every game.  Available for $40.  Out in June.  From Manifest Destiny.

Kemomini Panic is a kawaii fast paced game of deduction for 4-8 players.  You are part of the town Mokemoke and must find out who is The Great Theif Crescent Moon through deduction.  Pre-order for $25 and get a free promo pack.  It is planned to arrive June 2017.  From Arclight Games.

Terrifying Girl Disorder is a game of lost memories and unknown identities for 3-4 players.  It is inspired by Kyusaku Yumeno’s novel Dogra Magra and designed by Kuro of the card game The Ravens of Thri Sahashri and many others.  In it you play a schoolgirl who has lost her memories, rebuild your memories with cards, and find out at the end if you are the operative sent to find those with psychic abilities.  Available for $25.  Estimated to arrive July 2017.  From Manifest Destiny.

Press Release: Sailor Moon Crystal Tabletop Games Announcement

Dyskami Publishing Company announced today that it has entered into a North American licensing arrangement with Toei Animation Inc. to design and distribute a line of tabletop board games based on the popular Japanese animation series, Sailor Moon Crystal. Based on Naoko Takeuchi’s legendary manga series, Sailor Moon Crystal retells the story of Sailor Moon as she searches for her fellow Sailor Guardians and the Legendary Silver Crystal to stop the dark forces of Queen Beryl.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be producing a line of Sailor Moon Crystal board and dice games for fans of the series,” said Dyskami Publishing Company President, Mark MacKinnon. “Sailor Moon Crystal offers a dynamic range of iconic characters and rich storylines that makes it an ideal series for adaptation into tabletop games. Sailor Moon and her allies have spanned generations, capturing the hearts of both gamers and anime buffs since the early 1990s and we look forward to bringing them to the gaming table.”

Dyskami will first release Sailor Moon Crystal Dice Challenge in late summer 2017, created by renowned designer, James Ernest of Cheapass Games, based on his Origins Award-winning Button Men game. Dice Challenge is an energetic dice battle game that’s quick to play, easy to teach, and highly portable for playing at anime/gaming conventions. Dyskami will début its next release, the tile-passing-and-bluffing game Sailor Moon Crystal Truth or Bluff, later in the year with additional games following in 2018.

4K Media, the Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. subsidiary managing the licensing and marketing of the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand, today announced a non-exclusive licensing agreement for the franchise with USAopoly, which will produce Yu-Gi-Oh!-themed coin banks and puzzles as well as special Yu-Gi-Oh! editions of MONOPOLY and YAHTZEE table top games in 2016 and 2017, under license from Hasbro, Inc.

The announcement was made by Jennifer Coleman, Vice President of Licensing & Marketing at 4K Media and USAopoly’s CEO and President John M. Davis.

“USAopoly has created a number of exquisite collector-edition games for popular entertainment brands, and we’re very happy to be working with them in expanding the product lines and collectibles for the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise,” said Coleman. “We’re also very excited to collaborate on the Yu-Gi-Oh! special editions of MONOPOLY and YAHTZEE games and know that Yu-Gi-Oh! fans throughout the U.S. and Canada will be clamoring for these games as another engaging way to experience their favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! characters.

Arc-V to create a broad range of coin banks and puzzles for North American consumers. The products will be introduced at retail in 2016.
